I discovered a lot of awesome youtubers lately. I’m not sure if I’ll end up subscribing to the majority of them because I feel like I’m a minority of the population, but I’m definitely going to watch at least a few of them so I can get a decent sample size (or at least a sample that makes me feel like I’m getting all the facts and not just a bunch of opinions).
Youtubers are an extremely new genre, and although most of them are doing it for the love of the videos, there are a few reasons they are still viable. The same thing happens with podcasts. A lot of people think podcasts are a niche, and most people don’t. They are a niche and niche community that loves it. I think a lot of people have this image of podcasts as just another form of entertainment, but I think there’s a lot more to it than that. The next way in which podcasts can be a form of entertainment is that they are a form of self-stimulation, or an outlet for creative expression. Many of us partake in this form of entertainment, but others choose to be more of a spectator. You may not have much of an interest in the subject matter of your podcast, but you might be able to come up with something interesting to say.
I know that you can do this with any kind of podcast. You can just sit back and listen to someone else talking about the same topic that you are talking about. You can watch them make observations about the world around them. You can give them things to say, and you can let them go off on tangents. You can record them, and you can put them on video. You can listen to them on your phone.

Podcasts are a great way to find new people to talk to. Ive tried to watch a few of them, but im always busy. Its very hard to find a time to record a podcast, and the process of recording is usually a lot more time consuming then actually listening to the podcast.
