Liam O Flherty just tweeted some of his thoughts on the new Deathloop trailer. In response to a question about his time loop, he said, “I’m not really sure what the future looks like. I think it’s a bit like a time loop. I think there are some things you can’t change.
The thing about time loops is that you can’t change the past, but you can change the future. You can’t change who you are, but you can change the story you play out. Deathloop is a game you play through the first 25 hours to get to an ending that seems very possible.
Well, that’s easy to say, but I do think it’s a little tricky to say what’s possible at the moment. In particular, the Deathloop story feels a little like it’s going to be a lot of stuff you see but aren’t really sure what to do with. Maybe I’ll try to write it down before I finish it.

Now, about the Deathloop story. We already saw that it will take you on an hour or more to get to the end, but I think the story is also going to be more like a series of episodes. I think there are going to be a lot of “flashback” scenes in which you see things that happened in the first 30 minutes.
I think it is a good thing that we’re getting to see all of those things that we’ve imagined for so many years. And I think it’s also going to be a good thing that Ill be able to see that I’m still alive. I just hope I don’t have to die from a heart attack. That would be pretty fucking awesome.
