So we can decide not to do something, but we can also choose to do something. Self-awareness is actually really important for a person to control their actions. It is also extremely important for them to control their thoughts. They can also decide to do something that they know is wrong. Self-awareness is a major part of self-control.

There are a few different types of self-awareness. There is one called meta-cognition, which is the ability to understand what is going on in your head, your body, your life. It’s not enough to simply put your finger on what you want to do, but you need to pick a specific thing you want to do. For example, one of the first things you learn to do is to turn on the lights in your house when you come home. By knowing how to recognize our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, we can control them. The trick is to do this for a long enough time that we have a real appreciation for what we are doing. I’m talking about self-awareness.
