I thought the same thing about a previous project I was working on. My wife was having a heart attack, and when she left I was working on a book about a new exercise that I had been thinking about for a while. I cant tell you how many times my foot has been hurting this week, but yesterday was a big one. When I put on the shoes I had to put down a big chunk of my self-confidence. I didnt know if i was doing it right. I didnt know if i should have just let my foot rest for about 20 minutes, then try to do some more of the new exercise. I didnt know if my foot was hurting too much to try it out.
All my training is done because I dont want to get too excited about exercises. I just want to get a grip on the time, so I can get back into my fitness routine and start exercising everyday.
I think this is one of the biggest factors in the decline of our physical fitness over the past few decades. The idea that exercising is more of a workout than a stress reliever is something that’s been around for a long time. But it seems as if the media and the media-fueled health trends that dominate the news are starting to change that.
That said, I think it’s important that we continue our exercise journey. Because, like anything, it’s hard to stick to a schedule. I think exercise really shows how much you have to give to get results. You have to actually go out and do it to see whether you’re able to stick to a routine.
