You can control the tub from the main menu, but you have to wait for the heat thing to finish. Also once you get a hot dog, you gotta go back to the main menu to change your dog. There is a glitch where when you go to the main menu, the hot tub will heat up really fast.
You can try to fix the hot tub in the heat tab. If you do, you can even get a hot dog. Just pick a hot dog, or two, and throw it into the hot tub. The best part is that you can save your hot dog before you throw it in, so it can sit there until you get an answer. It will only be there for 20 seconds, so you can’t just go back to the hot tub when you have a question.
As it turns out, the hot tub is a glitch in the game. The hot tub does heat up a lot slower, which seems to be the main problem. It also doesn’t work if you add water to the hot tub. So, don’t spend too much time fiddling with the hot tub, or youll get yelled at.
