At 1,5 kg a metric, this is the heaviest I’ve ever been. And that’s because I wasn’t using all my energy. It was exhausting, and I had to use every ounce of it.
This is probably the heaviest Ive been, but that was because I didnt eat enough (ahem). And despite the fact that I weigh about 41 kg, I wasn’t hungry. It was a bit chilly here, so I was really happy when I got home.
I’ve been eating more than my body weight in vegetables and fruits, a little less than my body weight in meat, and a fair bit less than my body weight in bread. The only thing I never seem to miss is bread.
Well, bread is probably one of the most underrated foods in life. It’s high in fibre, very low in calories, and it’s packed with nutrients like fibre, B vitamins, and manganese, which helps you stay healthy and prevent cancer. And while, of course, it’s high in calories, it’s a very low-calorie food.
I used to be a high maintenance eater of bread, but it seems to have taken on a new life as part of a diet that includes more vegetables, fruit, whole grains, and low-calorie foods. According to a study by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the bread that you eat can vary between 40 and 50 per cent of your total daily protein intake. You can get that same amount of protein in bread by following other high-protein, low-calorie diets.
I don’t know if we follow a diet, but I’d be tempted to say the same for bread. I have to say that I agree with the latest study that a low-carb, high-protein diet is the best bet for weight loss. For me a meal consists of two or three eggs, some chicken, a few salad leaves, and a glass of skim milk. Some of these foods are quite healthy.
For me it has been a while since I have had a good breakfast, and maybe I just need a good breakfast. Maybe the only breakfast I really need is a large slice of bread and butter with jam or the equivalent. It has been a while since I have had toast with jam, but that was a treat. But I’m not sure it has much to do with the amount of protein in the bread.
I recently ate a meal that consisted of seven eggs, two cheeses, a small half-portion of bacon, a small portion of potatoes, some salad, and about a third of a grapefruit. It was probably not healthy for me, but it was good. You could also substitute a large slice of bread with some jam for a healthy breakfast.
I think the amount of protein in the bread is probably going to be a large part of the reason you are only eating one egg. Some people like to eat eggs with everything, and that is definitely not a good idea (unless you want to eat a bunch of cheese, which is what I was doing). The protein in eggs is actually quite good for you. It is a good source of proteins, and it also contains Omega 3, an essential fatty acid.
While eggs are good for you, they are not a necessity. We are not talking about the amount of protein in eggs here, but rather the quantity of the protein contained. Many people think they are not required because of the high sugar content in them. This is not true. Eggs are high in protein, but there is no need to eat a large amount of them, and you can easily cut back on the amount if you cut out the sugar.
