How Did We Get Here? The History of deviantart emojis Told Through Tweets

When I was in high school, I created a very short series of emojis that allowed me to express my various moods and emotions. I thought it was a cute and unique way to share my self-awareness. This is what now is.

The only thing I have left to do is design my own custom emojis. I’m going to go back to creating my own emojis and then go to the tutorial and make some of the emojis I have left.

Well that is pretty vague. It’s very vague because you can only upload one of these. I’m thinking that each of these will be a specific, personal mood, or emotion. It’s not like the general emojis that you can upload, but each of these will be a particular mood or emotion.

I think for me, what it means to be self-aware is that I can actually say “I’m here”, and that I have the ability to say “I am aware of myself.” You are aware of the fact that you are aware, but you have not been able to say “I am aware of myself.

As an analogy, imagine if you got a tattoo that said, “I am aware of myself and my surroundings.” It would sound like you were telling someone else to get a tattoo that said, “I am aware of myself and my environment.” But to say that you are aware of yourself, is a big step. You are aware of the fact that you are aware, but you have not been able to say I am aware of myself.

All of us are aware of ourselves, and we all, every single one of us, are aware of how others see us. You might think I am not aware of myself because I don’t use the word “self,” but you would be wrong. I know who I am. I can be aware of myself. I can be aware of others. I can be aware of the fact that I am aware.
